Mitsuki Francis Laycock, known professionally as Mitski, was born on September 27, 1990 in the Mie prefecture of Japan. Before settling in the United States, Mitski lived in thirteen countries, including (but not limited to) China, Malaysia, Turkey, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
